When Wake County Human Services changed the way it did business, it had to communicate these changes to all its stakeholders – from clients to employees to policymakers. Others from around the country also wanted to find out how WCHS made its tremendous transformation. A plan was created to educate all of these audiences about how WCHS “changed the rules of the road.” Tools included a speaker's bureau, a "road map" explaining the changes and an information booklet about the transformation process. • • • • The North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants wanted to initiate an image campaign to educate North Carolinians about the many services a CPA provides, to recruit students to the accounting field, and to build value for its members. Initially, NCACPA envisioned a newspaper ad campaign. But it got a lot more: Surveys, radio ads, award-winning print ads placed in regional versions of national publications, sponsorship of PBS programming, brochures, media relations, taglines and more. Members were also trained on how to promote their own businesses. |
